And he said, "The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground." -Mark 4:26
We all begin the same. We are flesh and bone. We are dirty. But we are also spirit. The spirit lasts when our flesh and bone fail. Some of us produce a hard exterior. Others are soft and sensitive, but our capabilities to make our own choices are the same. They belong to us individually. The essence of our beings are the same.
When we receive information, what we do with that information is a matter of choice. Will we receive it as fact and accept it? Will we briefly consider it and disregard it? Or will we ponder it for a while and make a choice of our belief? Perhaps we research and learn and make an educated choice?
We may all begin the same when we are born into this world. However, as we grow, our circumstances, upbringing, environment and influences around us begin to effect how we view things. Still, God created us all the same, and the ultimate choice is up to us as individuals. The information in scripture is called the TRUTH and the GOSPEL. That description should help you consider it and allow it to change you forever. I ask: will you read and consider? Your act of considering is from God. The foundation of your spirit has become receptive. In the process of learning His word, your foundation will be able to receive and know. Just ask!
As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.” -Matthew 12:23 ESV
Understands it? Yes. There may be a variety of interpretations through translations and thoughts of others. Do not fear! Pair your reading with heartfelt prayer, and it will come to life. The gift of Jesus is not complicated. It is real and true and available for you to accept it. God will grow His living word in the good soil of your heart when you have given it to Him by your choice of acceptance.
ADMIT. BELIEVE. ASK.
